I would create a library of videos, blogs, whitepapers, infographics around different topics. Not advertising products but giving answers to pain points we might know about but also to educate ourselves on pain points we might not even realise we have.

I don’t think it should be called data science, and is excel spreadsheets the best way of analysing data, does it give you all you need from your data? does it show you what you really need to see? I personally don’t think so. I think the answer is in software that does this for you, very little or no human data entry errors.

Mining, Minerals & Metals (MMM) organisations have historically used a combination of point solutions within various departments, such as planning and scheduling, as well as operations. They typically produce complex custom reports for the next step in the value chain. Not only does this process rely on a handful of tool experts, but it can also lead to the following:

  • miscommunication of key data
  • impede collaboration
  • time-consuming procedures
  • increased chances of delays

The answer? I believe is in this article, you will learn the best ways to address technical problems and pain points using software that is reliable. http://on.is3.co.za/10-reasons-why-integrated-planning-and-optimisation-solutions-are-key-to-mining-operational-success-we-are-your-partner

I think Value Chain Optimisation: Resource to Market Visibility

Traditionally, mining companies have run the various functions of their value chain as separate “businesses”. The lack of collaboration and coordination in this silo approach means that planners don’t have visibility into the entire value chain, leading to inefficiencies, higher costs, and potentially impact quality in operations.

You need to maximise the value of collaboration across your organisation to:

  • Enhance collaboration and realise your resource-to-market potential
  • Increase the ability to adapt to changing business rules
  • Improve the performance of your plan and schedule against your stated KPIs

I think that this Webinar will assist you with a lot of your answers you are looking for.
